New 21 yoga
Joseff Michálek has developed a system of yoga that is free from all religion and is thus easily accepted in the European cultural environment, yet has not lost its true essence, which many commercial movements lack. Joseff practices a kind of yoga that is based on Siddhartha Gautama Buddha’s original teachings of constant awareness of bodily sensations. If a movement or breath is conscious, it is a sensation. The combination of classical Hindu yoga postures with the Buddha’s teachings creates a unique kind of yoga that no one else in the country teaches. In addition, the postures (asanas) are seamlessly interconnected so that expansion asanas (JIN) follow contraction asanas (JANG), similar to Tai – Tchi. The set consists of 3 parts. part 1 is a warm-up, part 2 less challenging asanas, part 3 contains more challenging asanas. Every muscle and tendon in the body is exercised. By practicing this routine regularly, you will learn to control your mind, (Buddha), learn to breathe properly and achieve inner peace which will relieve stress. You will get in touch with your body and this will help you to strengthen your vitality and immunity and therefore improve your overall health.
Hot yoga
Come and work out in a heated room at approximately 42deg. Celsius! Teacher Ilona Limberská will give you her experience, enthusiasm and joy of yoga. Practicing in this temperature has many positive benefits: firstly, there is no coldness of the body during calm asanas. Furthermore, the body becomes much more flexible and the risk of injury is reduced! The heat also causes the heart rate to increase, making this type of yoga a cardiovascular exercise. Blood circulation is improved, the body is detoxified through sweating, the heat opens the pores, cleanses the skin and starts fat burning. Wear something light and comfortable. Short leggings, a functional tank top and preferably a swimsuit are ideal. Bring a towel, plenty of water, a mat and remember to drink plenty before and after exercise.
Pranayama
We searched for a quality lecturer for a long time before we found and established cooperation with Čestmir Potoček. Pranayama is the conscious and free direction of the breath (prana = breath, cosmic energy, ayama = to control, regulate). With every breath we take in not only oxygen but also prana. Prana is much more than just breath. By practicing external and internal breathing with subsequent calming of the mind and perception of the bioenergetic body, we can improve vitality, rid the body of poisons, increase the body’s resistance, gain inner peace, achieve relaxation and mental clarity. According to mythology, every creature has a predetermined lifespan by the number of breaths it takes, and so the yogi prolongs his life by consciously slowing down his breathing.
Wim hof
In cooperation with Hanka Moravčíková we offer participation in Wim Hof courses in the winter season. The Wim Hof method consists of three equal components:
- Breathing exercises - slow, controlled exhalations make it easier to work with the cold.
- Cold therapy - involves working with cold as a form of physical and mental training.
- Mental adjustment - meditation and concentration exercises increase mental readiness and promote cool down exercises.
