History of our hotel
Our hotel in Pec pod Sněžkou boasts a rich history and is one of the oldest buildings in this picturesque mountain area.
The first written records of our hotel date back to 1772, highlighting its long-standing tradition and significance.
Over the years, the hotel has been owned by several prominent families from the Pec region, including the Berger, Tippelt, and Richter families. Since 2007, our family has been taking care of the hotel, lovingly preserving its unique atmosphere and tradition.
In May 2025, we expanded our facilities by purchasing the neighboring Chata Šohajka. We are gradually connecting the operation of both buildings, which allows us to accommodate up to 90 guests and offer new benefits to visitors of Chalet Orlík.

Mountain cottage Orlík – accommodation in the Giant Mountains, Pec pod sněžkou is located in a picturesque and peaceful environment of the Giant Mountains National Park – about 400m center of Pec pod Sněžkou.
Hotel rooms
- 11 rooms - 7 double, 4 quadruple
- Extra bed in each room - sofa bed or futon
- Spacious rooms - double 15-20 m² and quadruple 30-35 m²
All rooms have been recently refurbished with soundproofing and new furniture. Our rooms are smaller and simply furnished, but cosy and with a typical mountain atmosphere. Most of the furniture is made to measure so as not to take up unnecessary space.
After a busy day, you can relax on our high mattresses with pocket springs – you won’t find foam mattresses here. The walls of the rooms are decorated with photo canvases with views of the Krkonoše Mountains by the talented photographer Pavla Marešová. For long winter evenings there is a shelf of books to read.
Restaurant
Our hotel has a restaurant and bar where you can enjoy delicious breakfasts, dinners and refreshing drinks in a warm, family atmosphere and mountain style.
Taste the best of Czech cuisine in our cosy restaurant. When you’ve had your fill of food, pop into our bar for a delicious cocktail. We’re open until the early hours of the morning, so you can extend your evening at will.
